I was the featured blogger for the month of November on Her Packing List, a website focusing on travel gear for women. As the featured blogger, I wrote three articles about my favourite gear, including my Travelon bag that stopped me from getting pickpocketed, my Olympus OM-D mirrorless camera, and my Teva Tirra sandals.
September 2012: Expat Life in Australia: It Can Be Tough, But It’s Worth It
In this post for AmateurTraveler, I wrote about how being an expat in Australia can sometimes be trying, especially when you’re having a rough time and just want a friendly shoulder to cry on, but in the long run, it’s been worth it — especially because the Australian government mandates that you get at least 4 weeks of leave a year!
April 2012: WotifBlog: A Tiki Tour of Canterbury
I won a blogging competition run by Wotif and as a result got to take a nine-day trip around Canterbury in New Zealand’s South Island. I wrote 31 blog posts during the trip about all of the amazing activities, accommodation, and food. I also kept readers up-to-date with my progress via Instagram, and a book of these photos is now on sale (with all proceeds going to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal).
