November 2012: Her Packing List
I was the featured blogger for the month of November on Her Packing List, a website focusing on travel gear for women. As the featured blogger, I wrote three articles about my favourite gear, including my Travelon bag that stopped me from getting pickpocketed, my Olympus OM-D mirrorless camera, and my Teva Tirra sandals.

September 2012: Expat Life in Australia: It Can Be Tough, But It’s Worth It
In this post for AmateurTraveler, I wrote about how being an expat in Australia can sometimes be trying, especially when you’re having a rough time and just want a friendly shoulder to cry on, but in the long run, it’s been worth it — especially because the Australian government mandates that you get at least 4 weeks of leave a year!

April 2012: WotifBlog: A Tiki Tour of Canterbury
I won a blogging competition run by Wotif and as a result got to take a nine-day trip around Canterbury in New Zealand’s South Island. I wrote 31 blog posts during the trip about all of the amazing activities, accommodation, and food. I also kept readers up-to-date with my progress via Instagram, and a book of these photos is now on sale (with all proceeds going to the Christchurch Earthquake Appeal).

2 Mar 2008: Why I Beat a Girl with a PVC Pipe
Third place in the Young Traveler’s Division!

01 Mar 2007: The Pharmacist’s Honest Opinion
On Bootsnall, a traveller’s network I belong to. The blurb: Of all the remedies for a broken toe, Kristin Repsher certainly did not expect the pharmacist to suggest this one.

About the Author

I'm Kristin, a Texan born to an American father and English mother. I've been living in Australia since 2008. My first plane flight was when I was three weeks old and I've been hooked ever since. I never feel quite right unless I have a plane ticket (to anywhere, whether it's Sydney or Sweden) booked in my name!
